Native groundcover that grows east of the alps in mountainous and subalpine areas. An attractive groundcover with grey blue foliage. Foliage is mostly evergreen with some leaf loss in winter in cold areas. It will grow in full sun or part shade growing 10cm high to 1m wide. Best foliage colour is seen in part shade. Red sticky burr flowers are bourne in late spring to early summer. Prefers moist well drained soil, will tolerate soil low in organic matter. Hardy to minus 10 celsius.
