Pimelea oreophila is a tough groundcover of the montane areas of the south island. It has grey green leaves that are covered in white flowers during late spring/ early summer. The red/orange berries that follow are ideal food for lizards. This evergreen shrub grows to a height of 15cm and 50cm wide, plant closely to create a mat. Needs good drainage and a sunny location. Good for pots and for sunny banks. Very hardy to frost.
